NEXTGEN LEADERS INSTITUTE FAQS:

1. How interactive is the program? Will we be practicing these tools or just learning new concepts?
Absolutely! This program is highly interactive. You’ll learn concepts and then immediately put them into action. You’ll be practicing in real time—engaging in exercises and simulations where you can see how the tools work for you personally. For example, you might practice having difficult conversations, making specific requests, or releasing barriers that hold you back from stepping into leadership.

2. What kinds of real-life scenarios will we practice during the session?
We focus on practical, real-world leadership situations. For instance, you might practice making clear, actionable requests of a family member or business partner. We’ll simulate these experiences using body-based techniques, where you practice delivering your message in a way that helps you achieve the outcome you desire while managing your default communication patterns.

3. How will this program help me continue learning after the session ends?
You’ll be paired with a learning buddy who will help hold you accountable to the goals you set during the session. For example, if you commit to making a specific request of someone after the program, your learning buddy will follow up to check on your progress, offering accountability and encouragement.

4. How is this program different from coaching during family meetings?
During family meetings, coaching often focuses on the family as a whole, with only light touch feedback for individuals. In this program, the focus is entirely on you. We do a deep dive into your leadership development, providing personalized, in-depth feedback to help you grow as an individual leader and person—not just within your family context but across your life and business endeavors.

5. How does the program help participants find clarity about their roles within their families or professional lives?
The program provides a structured environment for exploring and defining your leadership path. You’ll engage in deep discussions with peers who understand the complexities of growing up in affluent families. These conversations, combined with guided exercises, help you examine the values and messages you’ve internalized from your family and society.

By sorting through these influences, you’ll identify which values you want to keep and which no longer serve your vision for the future. This reflective process helps participants make clearer, more confident decisions about their professional roles and contributions to their families.

6. What role do peers play in the program experience?
Peers are a vital part of the learning process. Being surrounded by others from similar backgrounds creates a unique opportunity for mutual insight, support, and growth. You’ll gain fresh perspectives from their experiences, see your own challenges reflected in their journeys, and often spark ideas and clarity for yourself by engaging in these conversations.

7. How does the program help build self-trust and confidence?
A core part of the program is learning to trust your decisions and boundaries. Participants gain confidence in saying “no” when appropriate, making requests with clarity, and trusting their own direction. These experiences help develop a strong sense of personal leadership that translates into both family and professional life.

8. Can I participate with family members?
Yes, participating with siblings or other family members can be a powerful experience. Many past participants have found that going through the program together creates a shared language and a deeper understanding of each other’s perspectives. This can lead to more meaningful support and communication within the family, even years after the program.

9. Is this program beneficial for someone who married into wealth but didn’t grow up with it?
Absolutely. Many participants, regardless of how they entered into wealth, face similar challenges around navigating family dynamics, managing perceptions, and raising children within affluent environments. This program offers tools and insights to help you gain a deeper understanding of these experiences, connect with others in similar situations, and build confidence in navigating the complexities of a life intertwined with wealth.

10. How will this program help me as a parent raising children in wealth?
By engaging with peers who grew up in affluent families, you’ll gain valuable perspectives and insights that can help guide your parenting approach. The program also focuses on fostering self-awareness and teaching communication skills that can strengthen relationships and help you model effective decision-making for your children.
